Breast Pumps Through Insurance
The widest selection of breast pumps, available for coverage through your insurance.
Can I get a breast pump through insurance?
The short answer to that is, most likely, yes. The longer answer is that most insurances are required to cover breast pumps following the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which was signed into law in 2010. This means you could be eligible for a free breast pump. Keep in mind, each insurance plan is different, which is why we recommend reaching out to your insurance to get a better understanding of how they cover breast pumps. We have more information on the ACA on our breast pump through insurance page!

What kinds of breast pumps are covered by insurance?
Insurances usually cover 3 different kinds of breast pumps: manual breast pumps, electric breast pumps, and hospital grade breast pumps.
Manual breast pumps: these are hand operated devices that require you to manually squeeze the pump to express milk.
Electric breast pumps: these are powered breast pumps that use an electrical outlet or batteries to power a motorized pump. There are many different types of electric breast pumps ranging from traditional pumps to portable pumps to hands-free pumps. Electric breast pumps are the most popular type of breast pump.
Hospital grade breast pumps: these are more heavy duty breast pumps meant to last longer and have multiple users. They are usually stronger, bigger, and more expensive than electric and manual breast pumps and are intended for rental purposes.
All of the pumps that we carry are considered electric breast pumps.
